all saints 2016: never ever have we ever felt more excited about the return of a pop group
Bring it on, bring it, bring it on now.
Recent years saw naughties wet dream McBusted happen and save for an initial eye roll, nobody we'd want to be friends with batted an eyelid. But when All Saints teased their comeback by tweeting a black and white photograph of the band (Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, and sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton) alongside a simple #AllSaints2016 the other day, we fully prepared ourselves for a 90s revival. If, like most, you've not given them a proper listen since Pure Shores soundtracked The Beach and thus everyday life circa 2000, you're about to unearth some serious nostalgia. They're moving, they're coming, can you hear what they hear? Well, not yet, but we're pretty excited about the prospect of new material.
Although it's been ten years since the release of their last album. Studio 1, dedicated fans will know that the two-time BRIT award winners dropped comeback single Chick Fit in 2007 and booked a UK tour that they soon cancelled. They gave things another shot in 2014 when they joined Backstreet Boys at London's O2 Arena and went on to play V Fest last year. We've got a strong feeling that this time is no bootie call, it's the real deal. So grab your cargo pants and turn up the volume on their greatest hits, cause they're about to go rock steady.
