It's been a big week for Kurt Cobain. As the 21st anniversary of the Nirvana frontman's suicide somberly passed, Brett Morgen's highly anticipated documentary Montage of Heck has been garnering praise for its intimate exploration of Cobain's life and legacy. Rolling Stone also published its exclusive cover story with Frances Bean Cobain this week, the first time she's spoken publicly about her father. Now, a new exhibition of personal photographs that will feature in Morgen's documentary is slated to open in Sante Fe this summer.

ArtNet reported this morning that Glenn Green Galleries will open On the Road and in the Studio with Nirvana, an exhibition of personal photographs shot by by Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic's former wife, photographer Shelli Hyrkas. Hyrkas' photos span from a shot of Kurt, Krist, and Chad Channing (the band's pre-Dave Grohl drummer) on tour in London back in 89; all the way through Halloween 93, when Kurt dressed up as Barney the Purple Dinosaur. There are snaps of the band boarding an airplane Beatles-style, behind the scenes of a Rolling Stone shoot in Australia, even a few of the band setting up to record Nevermind.

What's more: Hyrkas is offering prints of her ten archival images up for sale. But as when Leo Fitzpatrick toured around with a crate of Larry Clark images and sold them to skate kids for just 100 bucks a pop, Shelli's prices similarly reflect a desire for accessibility across all levels of art collectors and enthusiasts. You can nab one of the personal prints for as little as $180.

On the Road and in the Studio with Nirvana will be on view at Glenn Green Galleries from June 13-August 30.
