Last Friday night i-D Mix brought the party to Reykjavik Art Museum. Curating a line-up of acts that spanned the very much alive Icelandic hip-hop scene, we brought hometown heroes and brothers grime, Skepta and JME, along for the icy ride. Kicking things off, Sturla Atlas and his 101 Boys from downtown RVK warmed up the crowd, before Emmsjé Gauti got emotional and Gisli Pálmi brought the fire along with his Glacier Mafia. Next up, Úlfur Úlfur killed it but unfortunately left their pets at home, and headliners JME and Skepta proved that they have a major fan base in Iceland as they well and truly shutdown the venue, the audience joining them on every single word. Same time next year please Iceland Airwaves!
