Fresh from supporting Bryson Tiller on his European tour and headlining Birthdays in Dalston back in March, LA-based duo THEY follow up their debut EP Nü Religion (streamed over 93m times to date) with brand new single Deep End, premiering today on i-D.

The pair decided to channel their inner 2pacalypse by recording Deep End in Shakur's inner-sanctuary. "We've always been huge Death Row fans, so when we got a chance to work in 2Pac's old room, it was only right that we channelled that energy into one of our best songs to date," producer Dante and singer Drew tell i-D. "It's some trap R. Kelly shit."

Deep End is indeed the trap version of R Kelly - and the spirit of Pac was definitely in the room when the pair recorded this gloriously gritty and grimy single. Like every great DeVante Swing or Kellz tracks you've ever heard, ever, Deep End manages to be simultaneously supremely smooth and furiously filthy all at the same time.

Press play on Deep End and prepare to fall head over heels with THEY.

Watch out for THEY's upcoming full length project, HYENA, set for release via Mind Of A Genius this year.
