Ever since we heard that Zed Bias was hanging up his headphones back in December, we have wondered why. What's he doing? What could he have up his sleeve? Well now that we've heard this absolute gem of a track, it's clear that he's been putting a lot more time in the studio. Taken from Zed's next EP on the legendary dBridge-helmed drum & bass label Exit Records, "Driftin'" is a thing of sheer beauty. The track kicks off with intricately patterned footwork drums that work their way towards a smooth swelling synth line offset by sly guitar licks and Manchester-based singer Zoë Violet's soft yet effervescent vocal. Halfway through, the vocals and synth pads kick back to make way for the bass line that packs some serious heat. A true hands in the air moment in the club if ever you need one as Zed delivers superior quality once again.

The release comes well backed up by two more boundary pushing cuts that explore the 80bph/160bpm realm in true intricate Zed Bias style. Out today, grab it release via the Exit website here.
