Pixie Geldof has announced that her debut album, I'm Yours, will be released on September 16th, with a double A-side release of singles So Strong and Escape Route on June 17th. This is her first-ever solo record, and first new music since her 2012 band Violet.

"I'm Yours represents every single human I've ever loved in my life," Pixie says in a statement. "Songs of love in every form, platonically, family, in romance. I'm a part of these people's lives and I'm theirs in any capacity they need me."

The two singles have debuted online today, with So Strong bringing Lana Del Rey-esque breathy, sad girl lyrics over twinkling guitars, throbbing beat and a somewhat twisted psychedelic vibe that brings to mind Lower Dens.

Escape Route has a dramatic quivering vocal a la Jack White, with matching Nashville-style slow rock and roll progression and opening lyrics: "I missed ya, you know I would / I say it's over, and you loved me 'til I'm sober / And I can't feel my face, I couldn't feel you kiss me goodbye" and the chorus, "I can't find my escape route, no".

The album was recorded in Los Angeles last year and takes inspiration from "Mazzy Star in the 90s, to the ghostly guitars of the country greats, to the gossamer wash of Warpaint today" according to the release. We can't wait to hear what Pixie has in store on the rest of the album.
