Dior have announced that, rather than rushing to replace Raf Simons, the maison's in-house design team will create the spring/summer 16 haute couture and autumn/winter 16 pret-a-porter collection, giving the house time to select the perfect successor.

According to a report this morning by WWD, Dior is "taking its time in its search for a successor to Simons, confident the house can continue its expansion drive in the interim without a star designer". The French fashion house also took this tack after the departure of John Galliano, thrusting the dismissed designer's right-hand man Bill Gaytten into the spotlight, with mixed results.

As for Raf, he will present his hotly-anticipated autumn/winter 16 menswear offering in Paris in January, his first collection since leaving Dior last month.
