After Dream Wife covered Peaches' Fuck The Pain Away for i-D as a Valentine's Day special, we couldn't wait to hear new music from the English-Icelandic pop-rock trio. Fortunately, we didn't have to, as this morning they revealed new track Hey Heartbreaker, the lead single from their upcoming debut EP.

With a catchy guitar riff, sugar-sweet harmonies, clapping and a "Hey Hey Hey" chorus, the style of the track clearly references Dream Wife's Riot Grrrl heroes, and Rakel Mjöll's vocal appears to play particular tribute to Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O.

Dream Wife will play a headline gig at Birthdays in Dalston to launch their debut, self-titled EP on 11 March, with support from a Reykjavíkurdætur, a 16 member all-female rap crew from Reykjavik.
