christmas with claire barrow
To celebrate the advent of the festive season, we asked i-D's family and friends to share their most cherished Christmas memories, reflect on whether they’ve been naughty or nice, and tell us their New Year’s resolutions for 2017.
Claire Barrow is the Northern wonder woman who, having first made waves as part of Fashion East, has very much gone her own way and rejected the seasonal fashion week schedule in order to focus on creative projects across both the fashion and art worlds. With her darkly beautiful illustrations and signature painted leather jackets always at the top of our xmas list, her bff Eloise Parry just shot the archive-spanning retrospective film Move On starring Claire's many muses, which recently premiered on i-D.
Throw back to the early 00s now, and we find mini CB chilling by her Stockton-on-Tees tree, having just opened a disco ball, a fluffy sparkle photo frame and a Cadbury selection box; in other words, the stuff awkward teen dreams were made of.
Happy Christmas, Claire! Talk us through your Christmas throwback photo...
