Written and directed by dreamboat Ryan Gosling, Lost River is a macabre fairytale of love, mystery and underwater towns. Starring Drive co-star Christina Hendricks, Gosling's real life babymama Eva Mendes, Saoirse Ronan and Matt Smith, the film didn't exactly get rave reviews in Cannes but if the first trailer is anything to go by, it's going to be a visual masterpiece. Clearly influenced by Drive and Only God Forgives (both of which Gosling starred in) and the work of director Nicolas Winding Refn, and with Spring Breakers cinematographer Benoît Debie by his side, our first peek into the parallel world of Lost River is one of neon lights, a pulsing soundtrack by Chromatics frontman Johnny Jewel along with Glass Candy and Symmetry, and a bit of blood…

Lost River will be released 10th April.
