16 years after Mark Leckey captured the poignancy, strangeness and rich identities of British nightlife like nothing before Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore, Michel Gaubert remixed it beautifully. Moving to the beat of a soundtrack that provided a shake-up of the senses and mirroring Leckey's amalgamation of found footage, Raf's own collage of rave revelry reimagines style codes and the uniforms of after-dark tribes. Shrunken knitwear echoes soul-boy crops, flares and baggy, high-waisted trouser have a whiff of northern soul and grunge about them. Blurring the past, present and future, Raf Simons will make you hardcore.
