Recently signed to Fools Gold, LA producer Falcons has been making noise for years thanks to awesome remixes of Mike Jones and Missy and block-rocking sets for Boiler Room. The Athletixx alumni is currently preparing to release a new EP, Terra, the lead track from which, Aquafina, featuring Goldlink and Chaz French, has already clocked up nearly 1m plays in a month.

Next up is the super hot Flame, featuring the UK's formidable Stush. "I did a remix for my friends GTA and the track featured Stush," says Falcons of working with the dancehall MC. "I heard the acapella and I was like Damn, this is amazing. It's grime, dancehall, UK hip hop all in one with a Missy Elliot-like twist... I asked Julio from GTA if he could connect us and he made it happen. Once I looked into her catalogue I realised she had some legendary tracks out there in the last decade. When I played in London earlier this year, a lot of people I met said she was a legend, so I was juiced to work with her."

Premiered today on i-D, the track is a midway meeting point between dancehall and dance and is brilliantly emboldened by Stush's fast-paced punchlines. "I made a beat that I thought fit both of our styles well; something stripped down yet high energy. Something that would show her amazing vocal range," explains Falcons of the collab. "That was it and this is the result."

Terra is out on Fool's Gold this Friday 7 August
