christmas with lucky blue smith

To celebrate the advent of the festive season, we asked i-D's family and friends to share their most cherished Christmas memories, reflect on whether they’ve been naughty or nice, and tell us their New Year’s resolutions for 2017.

Happy go Lucky Blue Smith is the blonde-haired, blue-eyed teen dream who shot to fame as a model before turning his hand to acting with a role in this summer's Love Everlasting. A young man couldn't possibly get cooler than that, right? Wrong! Lucky plays drums in a band with his older sisters, Starlie, Daisy, and Pyper America.

i-D's friendship with the heartbreaker goes way back, having made the A-Z of Lucky Blue Smith with him over a year ago, quizzed him about his not at all premature autobiography Stay Golden in a live-streamed interview and, you know, having generally stalked him online for quite some time now. Christmas is a time for family and, as the Smiths are one of the coolest we know, we dropped the youngest member a line and asked him to delve into his Christmas past, present and future for us. We're so Lucky, he's a star.

What's on your Christmas list?
Going back to the basics, socks and underwear. I never seem to have enough.

How will you be spending Christmas day?
With my family hopefully somewhere cold and snowy!

What's your favourite Christmas song of all time?
Santa Baby.

Who do you want to kiss under the mistletoe?
The prettiest girl in the whole world, my girlfriend Stormi Bree.

What're the best Christmas presents you ever received?
Clothes and a phone!

What were your 2016 highlights?
Traveling around the world and working with amazing people.

What're your hopes for 2017?
MOVIES MOVIES MOVIES AND MORE MOVIES. I want to book a couple of good roles in some movies, along with more live performances with my band, The Atomics!

How will you usher in the New Year?
Get organised and buckle down with acting.
