London multi-instrumentalist Arkon Fly's sound harks back to funk's 70s golden age; in all its excessive, groovey, afro-futuristic glory. Despite the video having it's tongue-in-its-cheek, Asiatic is deadly serious about getting down. And of course it isn't simple pastiche either, melding together the joyful laissez faire attitude of disco, the progressive musicality of George Clinton's P-Funk (who they recently supported) and the modern avant-sounds of futurebass.

Their first two singles were released to much critical acclaim, Duke Dumont, Skream and Julio Bashmore count themselves of fans of the duo, and with a string of singles to follow this year, having signed to Sony, Arkon Fly have 2015 on lockdown. So press play, get down and funk out.
