Tom Ford has delivered a teaser for his eagerly anticipated sophomore film, Nocturnal Animals, a drama about an L.A. gallery owner who is sent an unsettling novel by her estranged ex-husband.

Starring Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal as the former couple, the film is based on the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright. It follows the designer's well-reviewed 2009 debut, A Single Man, itself an adaptation of a Christopher Isherwood novel by the same name.

Watch the Abel Korzeniowski-scored teaser below, as series of inevitably stylish close-ups paint an image of noir-ish proportions. We're already gripped.
