Tyra Banks has become the latest celebrity to share a selfie with no make up on, but she also took the opportunity in the caption to call out all of those who have used the hashtag #nofilter, but who have secretly been retouching their images.

"You know how people say #nofilter but you know there's a freakin' filter on their pic? Or maybe there's a smidge of retouching going on but they're lying and saying it's all raw & real?," she asks, explaining that, "Well, this morn, I decided to give you a taste of the really real me. I wanted to smooth out my dark circles so badly!!! But I was like, 'Naw, Ty. Show 'em the REAL you.' So...here I am. Raw." And, well, of course she looks absolutely incredible, with her piercing green eyes and flawless skin.

Speaking to her 2.9 million followers, Tyra says, "And there YOU are...looking at me, studying this picture. Maybe you're thinking, "Whoa, she looks ROUGH." And if you are, great! You deserve to see the REAL me. The REALLY real me. #RawAndReal". With 116,000 likes and over 8,000 comments, mostly expressing delight at her natural beauty, it doesn't seem that anyone was thinking she looks rough, but it's still a positive step for a supermodel to illustrate just how much the images we usually see of models and celebrities have been manipulated, and how unlikely it is that they just #wokeuplikethis. As fellow model Cindy Crawford once said, "Even I don't wake up looking like Cindy Crawford".
