The first wave of artists have been announced for the 2017 edition of Hackney's excellent one-day, multi-venue festival Visions. The always spectacularly brilliant Jenny Hval, who is currently touring 2016 standout record Blood Bitch, will perform, as will her Sacred Bones labelmate Blanck Mass, whose ace new record World Eater came out at the start of March.

LA three-piece Liars will come to the UK for a rare appearance since their 2014 record Mess, and fellow American (and Rick Owens fave) Zebra Katz will bring his queer hip hop vibes, alongside noise from Brooklyn punks The Men. Producer SOPHIE is a headliner, and there are also appearances Latin American electronic musician Helado Negro, bands Goat Girl and Shame, MC Benny Mails, folktronica duo IDER and Tel Aviv's Noga Erez.

Alongside the music, Visions will also host a record and zine fair, a screen printing class, punk rock karaoke, and the return of last year's hugely successful feature, the Dog Show (it's literally a dog show). Festival tickets at £27.50, and they're on sale now.
