"Yo Nick Jonas, go show them," spits Stormzy on an unexpected collab with Nick Jonas, which was premiered on MistaJams's BBC radio show last night. It's a reach towards mass popularity for Stormzy and another canny repositioning move by Nick Jonas, who's recently appeared on remixes with R&B queens Ciara and Tinashe. Is Jonas making a play to be the Justin Timberlake of the day? Like JT in the 00s, he has a huge pop following, but is keen to move into more "MOBO" territory, collaborating with soul, hip hop, gospel and grime stars for credibility.

Jonas says he fell in love with the UK music scene when he spent some time here and reckons Stormzy "brings a whole new element to it all." Luckily for our ears though, Jonas has promised to stick to singing, admitting, "I'm not the best at the rapping side of things." He's a newfound grime convert, calling Kanye's move to bring Skepta and co onstage at the BRITS "a moment."

See what you think of the Stormzy remixed Chains here. We're feeling it, Stormzy's verses espesh.
