It's official: Bernie Sanders and Thurston Moore have overtaken Willow Smith and Michael Cera for most unexpected musical pairing of the year. Joyful Noise Recordings have announced the senator from Vermont is releasing a song with the former Sonic Youth member. Called Feel It in Your Guts, the twelve-string acoustic composition features cuts of Sander's speeches. In a statement Joyful Noise explained that the track crosses, "topics like the worship of money, economic inequality, social justice, and the need for basic human rights for all people".

Feel It in Your Guts will be released with a limited run of 1000 hand numbered white flexi-disc vinyl and is available via digital download. Vinyl copies will be given away free to those who make individual donations to Sanders' campaign, but the download doesn't have a set price—although Joyful Noise suggests donating $27 for this odd, but uplifting musical moment.

The partnership was brought about by the label. In a statement founder Karl Hofstetter said they, "were inspired to support the campaign, and we thought it would be best to use our curatorial talents to this end." They approached Moore first to see if he would be interested and "were delighted that in a matter of minutes after posing the idea, Thurston excitedly agreed." Once they had the musician on board they approached Sanders' people and soon heard the senator was also into the idea. Berniechella must have given him a taste for the industry.
