Happy 90th birthday Rochas! To celebrate the big one, Allesandro dell'Acqua took inspiration from the brand's early days, bringing the 1934 bird-inspired show back for his third collection. Elegant Rochas girls took off through Palais de Tokyo with timeless browns, blacks, and greys ultimately bringing a real texture party to Autumn/Winter 15.

Feathered friends wore black velvet (and silk and bengaline) scattered with embroidery, beading and a touch of subtly sexy black lace. Cinched waists ruled the roost, appearing on almost every look. Dresses were classically feminine; some with ruffled sweetheart necklines, some pussy bows, and some knee-length with matching coats. The skies were brightened by a splash of canary yellow, while a few very pale bluebirds closed the show with swallow silhouettes, cap sleeves and playful transparencies. Hair was sleek, smoothed down in a side parting and tucked neatly behind ears. Lily Donaldson looked particularly lovely painted with heavy "what kind of bird are you?" eyeliner by Lucia Pieroni, but it was the beautiful sheer black dress tiered with boa strips and Chantilly lace detailing that had us all in a flap. Twit-twooo, we wanna be like you!
