Tippi Hedren is the star of the latest Gucci campaign. The 88-year-old actress -- best known for her roles in Hitchcock thrillers The Birds (1963) and Marnie (1964) -- follows in the footsteps of her granddaughter, Dakota Johnson, in fronting a major campaign for the brand.

Shot by photographer Colin Dodgson, the images channel the otherworldly spirit of Gucci Timepieces and Gucci Jewelry [they mean “jewellery” but are writing it like what Americans do], by presenting Hedren as a fortune teller reading the fate of young visitors while wearing key pieces from the collections.

Of course, Hedren was a successful fashion model in her early 20s, appearing on the front covers of Life and Glamour magazine, before being discovered by Alfred Hitchcock in 1961. The iconic actress -- who two years ago revealed that the filmmaker allegedly sexually assaulted her while working on The Birds and Marnie -- follows in the footsteps of fellow octogenarian Vanessa Redgrave in appearing in a commercial for the brand -- Redgrave famously fronting the Cruise 2017 campaign back in 2016.

"All of your dreams will come true," says Hedren in the accompanying video. Whether she possesses the requisite license to tell us that remains unclear, although, in our experience, it never stopped Gypsy Sarah on Morecambe promenade, did it.
