Winter is coming to Westeros and so is Taylor Swift. Thanks to the latest Nerdist Presents, two of the most unlikely bedfellows have been brought together in a satirical version of Tay Tay's Blank Space video. Cast in the role of a vengeful Swift, George R. R. Martin (not the real one!) spends the song listing the various ways he could bump off everyone's favourite Khaleesi, reminding the world that no character is safe on GOT, even the ones you love. He's got a blank space on his death list and he could easily write your name.

Bypassing Swift's heavily copyrighted catchphrases, lyrics like So it's gonna be forever, or it's gonna go down in flames / You can tell me when it's over, if the high was worth the pain suddenly become You could die in a sword fight or burn in dragons flames, just when you think it's alright I cross off another name, which is one way of getting around it. And it's not just the lyrics that are (vaguely) similar, the narrative of the video is, too. In the original Blank Space, Taylor lies on her man's lap surrounded by a picnic of champagne and smashes up her lover's car, while in the GOT version, George lies on Daenerys' lap and chases her around with a sword. It's weird, wonderful, and, at times, utterly insane, but it's definitely worth a peek.
