The eye-popping work of Dutch-born photographer (and i-D contributor), Viviane Sassen goes on show for the first time in London today at The Photographers' Gallery. It covers her fashion work from 1992 to 2012, showcasing her use of colour, texture and sculptural forms in 350 images that subvert the limits and conventions of this genre. The show's title, Analemmarefers to an astronomical term describing an eight-shaped curve, which maps the position of the sun in relation to time, here evoking the seasonal flow of fashion and echoing the moving projections in the gallery space. thephotographersgallery.org.uk Photo: Viviane Sassen, Gone with the wind, 2011
