Eight-time i-D cover star; 2015 Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards; and now, Jourdan Dunn is set to add the role of esteemed judge to her list of achievements, taking a spot on the judging panel of the upcoming BEAM Awards.

Held at The London Palladium on 12 October, the event will celebrate the achievements of influential public figures from black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, breaking ground as the first event of its kind to be aired in the prime time slot on ITV.

"I'm delighted to be a judge for the BEAM Awards," said Jourdan, who joins Naughty Boy and Mariah Idrissi, the 23 year old West Londoner who became the first model to wear the hijab in a high-street fashion campaign, on the judging panel.

"A televised event like this is another step toward making diverse faces in entertainment, fashion and the media generally, a non-event. I'm excited that progress is underway and it's exciting to be a part of the change," she adds.
