willow smith just landed her first chanel campaign
The iconic French brand and the 15-year-old musician are taking their relationship next-level.
Since Chanel announced Willow Smith as its newest ambassador back in March to "expand the perception of beauty," the world's most precocious 15-year-old has been #frontrowonly at runway shows and wearing Chanel to big deal events like the Met Gala. Now she's also expanding her duties with a proper modeling campaign for the storied French brand. Willow is the new face of Chanel's latest fall/winter eyewear ads, shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself and soundtracked to Nao's "Apple Cherry." It's her first big modeling job since starring in a Marc Jacobs campaign and signing to The Society Management last year.
As a face of Chanel eyewear, Willow joins the ranks of buzzy young talent including Kristen Stewart and Lily-Rose Depp. Considering Kristen has now landed Chanel campaigns ranging from handbags to the brand's "Paris in Rome" Métiers d'Art collection, while Lily-Rose recently followed up her eyewear ad with one for the new fragrance Chanel No.5 L'eau, this probably won't be the last we'll see of the Willow x Chanel partnership.
