Those in the creative industries who are used to doing practical work must be feeling rather restless right now. Cooped up in our rooms, the opportunities to take photos, craft garments and style shoots are all pretty unfeasible right now. For the foreseeable future, it looks like we’ll have to get a little more creative, dragging out the planning process until we’re allowed back out into the real world.

But that time, when everything returns to relative normality, is going to come eventually. In preparation for that moment, Sarabande -- the foundation established by the late, great Lee Alexander McQueen to help bolster creativity and support visionary talent -- are bringing their renowned series of lectures on the arts, The Sarabande Sessions, online. Now, free of charge, you’ll be invited to survey the mindsets of some of the fashion and art world’s most esteemed figures.

They’ll be rolling them out from tonight at 5pm, every day until Thursday 9 April, starting with a conversation between Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood and actor Eddie Redmayne, who’ll pick each other’s brains about on-screen aesthetics and “The Clothing of the Character”.

Also slated to appear? Andrew Bolton, the famed Head Curator of the Met Museum’s Fashion Institution who’ll unpack their wildly successful “Camp” presentation, A-COLD-WALL* visionary Samuel Ross, artist and writer Grayson Perry and photographer Juno Calypso. Tim Walker and Molly Goddard will round the whole thing out with a tete-a-tete that’s bound to unveil some fascinating insights into their respective practises.

So whether you’re stuck at home looking for some creative enlightenment or… well, what else is there to do, really... tune in to Sarabande’s site. Oh, and don’t forget to leave them a donation if you can afford to.
