Last night, Jeremy Scott took us to a nightclub in space, set against the glittering Tribeca skyline. In neon wigs, fluorescent metallic dresses, and shaggy faux fur moon boots, he presented something that looked a little bit like a bar scene in The Fifth Element, Luc Besson’s paean to space starring Milla Jovovich and her brilliant orange hair.

Omg what was it not?! Jeremy’s muses Charlotte Free, Jourdan Dunn and Soo Joo Park stormed the runway in symmetrical neon bobs, angular eye-makeup and either thigh high Moon Boots (novel), or silver heels that David Bowie would have approved of. Gigi Hadid opened wearing a particularly fetching jacket-bra hybrid that added to the overall eighties allure of the whole affair. Of particular note was a great, iridescent blue dress embroidered with gold to mimic circuit boards -- the Jeremy Scott girl is obviously gagging to get on Elon Musk’s latest mission to the moon.

Cardi B, aka Bartier Cardi, aka i-D’s latest cover star, was sat front row in cat-eye glasses, obviously having the greatest kiki on the planet and filming the whole thing.

As Madonna’s Stay pumped over the speakers, the models demonstrated how to look at home in a patterned silver lame suit. It was a perfectly Jeremy moment, coming hot on the heels of his 20th anniversary show last season. Long may the pop culture king of fashion reign.
