legendary writer and céline queen joan didion to star in new exhibition
Take a ride with Joan through Julian Wasser’s portrait of the essayist, on show in NYC.
Recent Phoebe Philo muse Joan Didion has been thrust back into the limelight lately with her Céline campaign, and now New Yorkers can check out more portraits of her, this time not by Juergen Teller, but Julian Wasser. The photographer, who's worked for Time, Life and Fortune magazines, took the photos back in 1968, around the time of her ground-breaking work Slouching Towards Bethlehem.
Check Didion out in an elegant, slim-line smock, smoking, sitting with daughter Quintana Roo and posing inside and outside her killer car, a Corvette Stingray. The show, Didion by Wasser, runs from February 12 to March 21 at New York's Danziger Gallery.
