Venezuelan producer Arca has just announced his eagerly-awaited second album on Twitter and Instagram. "My next full album is out fall and it's called Mutant and I CANNOT W8 to share it with u all !!," he tweeted about the follow up to his acclaimed debut LP, 2014's Xen.

Known for his boundary pushing tracks and trippy visuals, the 25-year-old has more than earned his stripes as a genre-defying artist. Over the last year, we've witnessed Arca and his surreal sounds in collaboration with some of i-D's favorite artists, including Bjork, FKA Twigs, Kelela and Kanye, and we cannot wait to see who will feature his future beats.

Considering the album title is Mutant, we can only begin to dream about the out-of-this-world visuals that Jesse Kanda may have in mind for Arca's second record. After Kanda's alien-like, spread-legged, female figure artwork for Vanity got Arca "permanently" banned (although he was later granted access again) to his Instagram, we hope the Mutant artwork can get past the internet's self-appointed modesty chiefs.

Crossing paths between music and art in a uniquely fantastical fashion, we can't wait for more progressive and provocative artwork from the duo, dropping this fall.
