Up-and-coming producer JD Reid recently followed up his series of classy grime and hip hop edits with his first full EP for Rinse FM, and on it was a monster of a track featuring the legend that is grime's D Double E. Now, i-D is pleased to share the visual for the track.

"I bought a Koto-based compilation [a traditional Japanese stringed instrument] on Record Store Day, then took it to the studio and lit up some Nag Champa. After a couple hours I ended up with the instrumental 'Rōshi.' To me it felt like the theme tune for some sort of Grandmaster or Sensei. When it came to thinking of who represented that kind of legacy, D Double E was the first person who came to mind."

Buy JD Reid, "Rōshi" here and catch him playing Lovebox Festival next Friday, July 15. Head here for tickets and info.
