gisele, gigi, kendall, and joan all make the list of the world's highest-paid supermodels
While the Instamodels rise through the ranks, there ain't no stopping Gisele!
Fashion loves a beautiful face and has always been willing to pay top dollar for the most ethereal and striking supermodels the world has to offer. If this year's Forbes highest-paid supermodels list is anything to go by, the trend has no sign of stopping. For the 14th consecutive year, the industry's favorite glamazonian model, Gisele Bundchen, topped the list with $30.5 million earnings in 2015 — thanks to her contracts with the likes of Chanel, and her lucrative lingerie and skincare lines.
Another Brazilian is hot on her heels: Adriana Lima, who at number two pocketed $10.5 million last year. Unsurprisingly, the Instamodels have burst onto the list and are a forced to be reckoned with. Kendall Jenner ties with Karlie Kloss at number three with $10 million dollars a piece; Jenner's best mate Gigi Hadid is at number five, tying with model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Each earned an eye-watering $9 million in 2015.
Other models included in the list are i-D icon Kate Moss, and past i-D cover stars Joan Smalls and Liu Wen. The Puerto Rican and Chinese supers — alongside Victoria's Secret angel Jasmine Tookes — are the only models of color to have made the list. It makes clear that the modeling industry is still shockingly weighted towards white models.
