liam hodges and rory parnell-mooney to show at man
The designers have been selected for the 10th anniversary of Fashion East and Topman’s menswear showcase.
Liam Hodges and Rory Parnell-Mooney have been selected for Fashion East and Topman's emerging menswear designer platform MAN for spring/summer16, during London Collections: Men in June. Royal College of Art graduate Hodges is presenting his collection under the banner for the third time, while Central Saint Martins grad Parnell-Mooney will show for the second time on the MAN runway.
MAN is celebrating 10 years of supporting emerging London menswear design talent this season, having been launched by Lulu Kennedy's Fashion East and Topman in 2005. "It's crazy to think we've been doing MAN for a whole decade," Kennedy told Style.com, adding, "I've enjoyed every moment and am so proud of the brilliant talent that has come through our scheme!". That talent includes a Who's Who of young London designers, including J.W. Anderson, James Long, Craig Green, Christopher Shannon, Martine Rose and Astrid Andersen. Kennedy continues, "We embarked on this journey with our fantastic partners in crime, Topman, back in 2005 when there was no menswear scene in London, and look what happened as a result!"
Topman Creative Director Gordon Richardson said, "The excitement that MAN still generates before every show is testament to its validity, and Topman is proud to be Fashion East's partner in this continuous venture." A special film, "MAN turns 10," has created to celebrate the 10th anniversary, which will be screened alongside the catwalk presentation.
