She premieres a couple brand new songs too.
FKA Twigs knows how to put on an show — she always has — but lately, she's kicked things up a notch. Her explosive MOBO set is burnt into our brains, and the same might prove true of her headlining Pitchfork set in Chicago. She sings, dances, and death drops alongside four dancers for one powerful hour, which doubles as a reminder that she's one of the hardest working people in the game. And, let's not forget, one of the best dressed. Here, she's wearing custom Alex Mullins denim, who she took to Instagram to thank. "I loved that you came to my rehearsals to get into the feeling of the show before making such beautiful designs," Twigs wrote, "your eye is beyond."
The artist performed tracks for her first two EPs, including "Water Me" and "Pendulum," plus newer cuts from M3LL155X and LP1. She also played previously unheard songs, which we suspect will feature alongside "Good to Love" on her next release. It's all got us wondering when she'll bring this show to our city in the flesh — and when we'll get another album.
