KAMAU's name translates as quiet warrior, and quietly slaying is exactly what he's been doing. His incredible cover of Outkast's "Hey Ya" and interpretation of Adele's "Hometown Glory" saw the rapper and singer turn heads online, showcasing his skill and ability as an intricate crafter of sound.

Much of his music is built on the foundations of his voice, and we don't just mean singing and rapping. Layering beatboxing, vocal percussion, breaths, whoops, and ad-libs, KAMAU collaborates with various producers, including close friends Ben Talmi and No Wyld, to craft his delicate yet highly vibrant sounds.

Today, i-D is excited to share something brand new from the incredible talent. The video for "Jambo" is the first in a series of six films for his EP A Gorgeous Fortune. "There is such gorgeous and intricate detail in time and presence that have led to this moment," KAMAU tells i-D. "There are so many people to thank, so much gratitude to show, too many to fit here. Thank you so much family! YEBO!"

This summer will see KAMAU head out on a 13-date North American tour alongside Lion Babe, with the EP due out on July 1. Be sure to catch the incredible performer live but for now press play on the striking visual for "Jambo."
