Electric Blocks is a laid back, crunchy drum 'n' bass half time stepper that splices breakbeats over dubby basslines and Fem Fel's stoner poetics. Electric Blocks is the follow up to How Many Times, his collaboration with Kiko Bun on The Full Hundred, a three minute slice of pure reggae gold. It's no surprise given his lineage and his relentless touring with Major Lazer, but Cadenza is mining the hardcore continuum for all its worth, taking his sonic cues from the dystopian futurism of dnb, rave and dubstep all the while maintaing his roots in reggae.

Having got shout outs and support from Zane Lowe, 1Xtra, Diplo and MixPak, and props for his unique sound and approach, this video is the first in a series of free downloads he'll be releasing in 2015. Explore this one, exclusive to i-D.
