Last night saw the winners of the 8th Annual UK Music Video Awards announced and i-D favourites Rihanna, Sia and Kendrick Lamar were among those scooping top prizes. Held for the first time at London's Roundhouse, more than 750 British and International filmmakers assembled to see David Wilson (Royal Blood/Tame Impala) named Best Director and Colin Tiley and The Little Homies take home Video of the Year for Kendrick Lamar's Alright. Picking up two honours on the night was the Megaforce directed Bitch Better Have My Money by Rihanna, which won Best International Pop Video and the i-D sponsored Best Styling In A Video.

UK Music Video Awards editorial director, David Knight, said, "Now with music videos being more important than ever before, the spectacular line-up of winners shows what can be achieved when music video makers are given creative freedom to express themselves." And with New Director award winner Helmi taking home both Best International Dance Video and Best Art Direction & Design for Tiga's Bugatti, that creative freedom seems in safe hands.
