Most 10th birthday parties involve fizzy drinks, awkward games and a slice of cake to take home in a plastic bag. The Great Escape do things differently, instead inviting the brothers Grime, JME and Skepta, to take a break from navigating the upper echelons of hip-hop to show party guests a good time. On top of an already impressive line-up, a further 150 acts have been announced today, with highlights including i-D Class of 2015's Lapsley, Stormzy and Novelist. As Europe's biggest new music festival, the SXSW of the UK offers industry, press, and music fans alike the chance to discover emerging international talent in 30+ venues across the city between 14th-16th May. With the likes of Ibeyi, Slaves, Tei Shi, Gengahr, Kelela and Swim Deep also performing, plus an Arts Council England-supported Great Day Out mini-festival for a 14+ audience, and the promise of further special guests yet to be announced, it's set to be the birthday party of the year. Bonus feature? Not a muddy field or soggy sleeping bag in sight.
