The nominations are in for the 2016 MOBOs -- the awards' 21st birthday year. Leading the pack are Kano and Laura Mvula with four nominations each, with Mercury Music Prize winner Skepta close behind on three.

Going head to head for Best Male Act are Skepta, Stormzy, Kano, Craig David and Tinie Tempah, while Little Simz, Lady Leshurr, Laura Mvula, Katy B and Nao will battle it out for the Best Female Act award.

The most nominated artists Kano, Skepta and Mvula are up against each other in the Best Album category, along with Giggs and Michael Kiwanuka. Mvula's clip for Phenomenal Woman is up against M.I.A's Borders in the Best Video category.

Last year's winner Stormzy is back in the running for Best Grime Act, joined this year by Skepta, Kano, AJ Tracey and Chip; and last year's Best Newcomers Section Boyz are up for Best Hip Hop Act, taking on Little Simz, Giggs, Wretch 32 and Fekky.

The 2016 MOBO Awards will take place at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on Friday 4 November. Check out full list of nominations, and cast your vote for the winners, and buy tickets for the awards show on mobo.com
