Not content with providing the soundtrack of the summer with his Young Thug and Popcaan featuring I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times), Jamie xx is confounding us with a new ballet score. We've just been given a taste of what to expect from the producer with the release of a video featuring an ivory-tinkling piece called Pianna for performances of Tree of Codes (inspired by the Jonathan Safran Foer novel), which will open at the Manchester International Festival on 2nd July. Choreography is by Wayne McGregor, visuals by Olafur Eliasson and performances from the Paris Opera Ballet and the Random Dance Company. The festival will also see performances from Björk, FKA Twigs and Arca & Jesse Kanda.
