Tonight at New York's Carnegie Hall and again tomorrow at Radio City, eighteen acts will perform a set list of classic songs in a memorial concert for the inimitable Starman. Acts scheduled to play tribute include Blondie, Pixies, Cat Power, Patti Smith, The Flaming Lips, Miley Cyrus, and the Roots -- until an announcement from Questlove last night.

"I've never been so insecure or petty as to deny a fellow musician use of ANY of my equipment (or my band's equipment----or resources or contacts or knowledge or ANYTHING)," Questlove posted on Instagram. "It angers me when that same courtesy is not reciprocated." The drummer went on to announce that it was for this reason that the Roots, along with Bilal and Kimbra, had pulled out of the gigs. "We have patience. But we do NOT have patience for the #Bitchassness. Enjoy your precious equipment." Which leaves us quest(love)ioning which of the other artists doesn't know how to share...

If you're able to move past the lack of ?, The Music of David Bowie concert will be livestreamed around the world in exchange for a donation to a music charity of your selection.
