adele has the perfect response to complaints that she's 'too boring' to headline glastonbury
'You're going to get dragged along by your wife, so just deal with it.'
While it's difficult to believe that Adele haters are a real subspecies of human that actually walk among us, there are some who have made known their *issues* with the comeback queen headlining Glastonbury later this year. Apparently some music fans are of the opinion that Adele is too "boring" to headline their sacred rock festival, spurring the singer to prove it's not just epic vocals and raw emotion she brings to the table: it's also an enviable measure of sass.
Responding to the complaints during her show at London's O2 arena over the weekend, Adele announced, "I'm actually more excited than I was now because of all those rock and punk fans have been having a moan that I'm doing it and I'm like: 'You're going to get dragged along by your wife, so just deal with it.' To be honest," she continued, "those people moaning about it, I've probably been more times than them anyway, so shut up."
Adele will join Coldplay and Muse for what will be her first-ever headlining festival performance. Her appointment was announced by Glastonbury's Emily Eavis, who we spoke to earlier this month about the lack of women headlining music festivals.
