The red clay courts of the French Open will have some killer new sneakers sliding across their surface this year when pro players Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Ana Ivanovic debut the new Y-3s, created alongside adidas Tennis. The ball boys and girls at the tournament at Roland Garros (May 19- June 7) will also be decked out in Yohji Yamamoto's finest footwear. It follows Y-3's strides into soccer, when Yohji's uniforms and cleats for Real Madrid in hit the pitch in August last year.

The collection is in Yohji's signature black-and-white, but with bright floral Hawaiian prints bringing the summer sports vibes (Coolmax technology and two-layer mesh panels make these super breathable and light). Adidas's Global Creative Director, Dirk Schönberger, said, "Y-3 is pioneering the future of sport and fashion. The collaboration with adidas Tennis as seen in the Roland Garros collection adds a new dimension to the possibilities of the brand, bringing the spirit and energy of high-fashion to the courts. It's an exciting opportunity to fuse the iconic style of Yohji Yamamoto -the master of fashion- with the modern language of sport."

The collection has just launched globally on adidas.com and at adidas stores, Y-3.com and in Y-3 stores.
