What do you do and why do you do it?
I create stories and clothes for freedom.

Man-child, sun, naïve, smile, impatient. 

How did you start your career? 
By cutting my mother's curtains when I was eight. 

What was your big break?
The Swimming Pool show. 

What are you working on at the moment?
My next collection. 

What advice would you give young people wishing to follow in your footsteps?
Always be free and follow yourself! 

We're celebrating the 35th Birthday Issue of i-D, when did you last celebrate and what was the occasion?
Yesterday I celebrated the new orange juice machine at the studio. 

What excites you most about tomorrow?

What's your party trick?
I used to sing Céline Dion songs in my band.
