haute bohemians on safari at 3.1 phillip lim resort
The poetic collection presents 70s shapes in luxurious fabrics with simple utilitarian details.
Floppy straw hats, split flares and tasseled knitwear lend the 3.1 Phillip Lim resort 16 collection a summery 70s feel. Inspired by bohemian icons, the collection lookbook is accompanied by final lines of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas's most famous poem, "Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
Despite Dylan's urgent, rallying words, the collection has a lackadaisical quality, with soft woven sun hats; crochet, tassel and frayed edge detailing; open-toe boots and asymmetric layered knitwear. There are sporty elements, with grid mesh tops, quilted-panel utility trousers and tab trainers; and safari details, with square pockets and heavy stitching.
