pedro winter's kid-friendly music festival announces sweet lineup
Parisian DJ Busy P and friends announce the supercool lineup of their second family-focused music fest.
Stéréokids #2 is coming to Paris on April 10, and it promises to thrill electronic-music lovers as well as their offspring. The brainchild of Pedro Winter (a.k.a., DJ Busy P and the founder of Ed Banger Records) and visionary art director Leslie David, the first Stéréokids took place in June of 2015, and it was a rousing success, with excited kids dancing to DJ sets, getting temp tattoos, and coloring on a "wall of sound."
Leslie David explains, "We've created Stéréokids to have a place to share the music we love with our children. It's the first French music festival only for kids -- the artists play less loudly, do shorter sets, and adapt their shows for this special audience -- and it's also 'parent-friendly'!"
Taking place at La Cigalle in Paris, this year's show will include sets by the delightfully campy Philippe Katerine (who will perform for a "kids only" audience), French house-music duo Cassius, Brit pop-electronic band Metronomy, and French rock duo Housse de Racket.
"We are so happy to have this year amazing musicians that we love," says David. Indeed, all of the performers have infectiously upbeat sounds, sure to get even the just-starting-to-walk kids up on their feet and dancing.
