Ever found yourself wandering around Spitalfields and wishing there was an McQ Alexander McQueen store that you could just pop into? Well wish no more, because the British brand's second store, and new flagship, opens in Spitalfields this week. Built in 1823 and spanning nearly 3000 square feet across two floors, the double fronted property boasts two separate spaces for both men and women, while its black, white, grey and oxblood red interior reflects the raw spirit of the brand.

On top of this, the lower ground floor will act as a rolling art space, which will be offered as a London base for international emerging artists. To celebrate the launch, McQ Hosts will kick off with a curation of Ermias Kilfleyesus' vibrant collages. "Spitalfields is an area full of creative talent as well as cultural and brand history," explained Sarah Burton, "we are returning to the roots of the house with the opening of this McQ store. The gallery space within the store will provide a platform for emerging artists which is something that has always been close to the heart of the house."
