adele's new album might be coming out pretty soon
It's now been more than four and a half years since Adele released 21, the blockbuster modern soul album that sold 30 million copies worldwide, revitalising the struggling music industry in the process. But though she appeared to hint last summer that a follow-up called 25 was coming later that year, nothing ever materialised. Adele has kept a typically low profile ever since, though she did tweet a picture of herself hanging out with Stevie Nicks after a Fleetwood Mac concert at London's O2 Arena in May.
However, Billboard is now reporting that Adele's label, XL Recordings, is planning a November release for the singer's eagerly-anticipated third album, whose title remains unconfirmed. It's said to feature co-writes with Danger Mouse from Gnarls Barkley, Britney Spears' hitmaker Max Martin and OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote 21's sassiest track Rumour Has It. None of this is official yet, but it certainly sounds promising, which is good news for those of us craving a new Someone Like You or Rolling in the Deep.
