Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and our teen girl fantasy British/Icelandic band Dream Wife are too. Whether you're drunk in love or sitting there alone up in your room, Alice, Bella and Rakel have put together a Valentine's Day treat especially for you. Naturally they picked very well indeed, bringing you their take on the teaches of Peaches. Listen up and fall hard! (✿ ♥‿♥)

Hey, heartbreakers! How did you meet?
We met at art school in Brighton.

How long have you been together?
We've been playing shows and making music together for about a year and a half. It's been a wild ride of fun times and we're releasing some new music very soon, so it's all coming together now.

What do you love most about each other?
That we can rock out together!

In your opinion, what is the greatest love song of all time?
Fuck The Pain Away by Peaches... why else would we choose this cover?

Who are your favourite couple?
Ione Gamble, creator of Polyester zine and Alfie Gleeson, dinosaur fanatic. They are a pair of babes and the Ultimate Power Couple.

What's the most romantic thing you've ever done?
Alice: Desperately writing someone love songs in the hope of getting them back.
Bella: Making cute personalised gifts for those I love.
Rakel: Getting a tattoo in Berlin of something he said, totally not regretting that now post break-up. You gotta be young, silly and in love at some point.

How do you know when you are in love?
You know.
Everything changes.

Tell us about your first kiss…
Bella: I was on the beach and I licked his face…..I don't know why.
Alice: Its hard to remember, It was probably in a game of truth or dare, if we're discounting primary school flirtation.
Rakel: I grew up watching too many disney films. So the first kiss was a big thing for me. I was getting pretty good at dodging kisses in school, my friends said I mastered the 'Matrix move'. My first boyfriend had to wait a month of dating before a kiss - and that was my first one, well the first one where I kissed back.

And your favourite kiss of all time?
Alice and Bella: Sailor and Lula, in Lynch's classic Wild at Heart. All the kisses, and pulling up to the roadside to freak out to heavy metal, perfect romance.
Rakel: I'm gonna add, Chuck and Blair in Gossip Girl on the piano when the Robyn's song Dancing On My Own kicks in.

Favourite teen movie heartthrob?
Young Leo, forever.

Have you ever had a really weird crush?
Bella: The little blue creature from the Young X-Men cartoon.
Alice: Jerry Blanc from Strangers With Candy, she is a perfect little creep.
Rakel: Do cartoon dogs count? What is a weird crush… mine seem to be all too normal.

What're your plans for Valentine's Day?
Bella: I have invited our manager out for something romantic (it's our anniversary.)
Alice: Nuffin right now, someone take me on a hot date.
Rakel: I'm throwing a poetry night where members of a female rap group called The Daughters of Reykjavík and my grandmother Gudrun that's a great actress, are hosting. It's a poetry night celebrating the poems by modern woman and woman through the past decades. Female empowerment on V-Day!

Describe your perfect date…
Alice and Bella: Tinnies in a graveyard.
Rakel: I just went on a date in a graveyard the other day! It's a thing. I guess it's easy to talk there and if you have nothing to talk about you can point at the gravestones.

Complete the sentence: Love is…
Bella: Complicated.
Alice: Confusing.
Rakel: Beautiful.

New Dream Wife music coming soon. Join them for a super special show at Birthdays in Dalston live with Reykjavíkurdætur.
