The Weeknd has been working on some new stuff, and finally — in the form of three major announcements — he's let us in on what's been happening behind the scenes.

Firstly, The Weekend's new album has a name, and it's Starboy. It will follow on from the critically acclaimed Beauty Behind the Madness. Secondly, the Nabil Elderkin-lensed album artwork has also been released, where the singer crouching beneath a banner that bears the LP's title. Finally - although it's not immediately evident from looking at the Starboy cover - it appears as if The Weeknd has a fresh new 'do. It's a little more close-cut and refined than the dreadlocked mane we're used to.

The Weeknd made all three announcements via his Instagram page, after changing his handle from @abelxo to @theweeknd. During the remodel, he also deleted every post he'd made over the past year: his page now only contains photographs from the Starboy shoot. The singer is clearly ready to launch his latest effort, which is said to include appearances from The Smiths, Prince and DeBarge. Starboy is due for release November 25th.
