The accompanying music to Baz Luhrmann's eagerly anticipated new Netflix show The Get Down is shaping up very nicely. With Miguel and Janelle Monáe's stellar contributions already released, and a track list boasting the likes Nas, Zayn Malik, Christina Aguilera, Nile Rodgers, Grandmaster Flash and more, excitement was already high. Now, Raury and Jaden Smith have delivered a stellar rework of CAN's 1972 hit "Vitamin C," entitled "Losing Your Mind."

The series, which premieres on Netflix this Friday, explores the birth of hip-hop in the late 70s, and will mark Luhrmann's television debut. Jaden, who appears in the series as a graffiti writer from South Bronx, will star alongside Shameik Moore, Herizen Guardiola, Justice Smith and a host of other, exciting up-and-coming young actors. The pair called into HOT 97 host Ebro's Apple Music Beats 1 radio show to discuss the cultural emergence of hip-hop, and how it mirrored issues young people are facing today. Raury describes the track as a celebration of individuality, being "a weird fly kid." Listen to the track and interview below.
